The new Family Crest (Alliance Crest)
As we all know, my
With Larry is it totally
different. Anyway, it was a challenge to me to bring both crests together. I was proud of my family history - and Larry too. Since 1994, this project run around in my head. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Old records from my PC prove the many efforts to bring the two crests together. Then I got very deep in the matter “heraldry” and out came the Alliance Crest And that is haw the new Alliance Crest developed: Woods = The family name means in other words Wutz Hessian pig. For this reason I decided on the ridge (often referred to as the neck or crown) the animal must be a pig. But it should be 2, because it is not only female and male united in the coat of arms, indeed 2 different nationalities. Of course also 2 different colors. The colors were chosen according to the harmony of the whole picture. That the pigs make a combative impression is desired. Two worlds (German and American) collide and there were not always peace, but also struggle. The two horses, or rather, Pegasus, I have chosen, because of the intoxicating mythology. Pegasus was the child of the sea god Poseidon and the Gorgon Medusa. This is reflected somehow in my character again. I love the water and Medusa shares a little bit my life. Medusa was once very beautiful. But the beauty has been transformed into a monster by the goddess Athena because of her love to Poseidon. But here we are again common. Medusa's hair turned into snakes. In the Chinese horoscope, my sign is the snake. The blue flower Pagasus carries in his mouth, is the symbol of romance and stands for love or for metaphysical quest for the infinite. Then come the two arms of the family. The order was again elected for harmony. In Bandarole are the names of two Crests. And again the combination of colors was chosen to come up with the result of a well-rounded picture
