The Garden Chair
Der The chair
was a typical garden chair. He was probably
purchased, brought into garden and there he stood untill it was time for
disposal.
At some point someone probably started an attempt to paint the chair. The wood was badly decomposed. In some cases, the paint was still partially in place and the wood very crumbly. |
Therefore, they used a very dark wood color probably trying to hide the traces of age.
What works in the movie and on television on the actors with make-up work - was here a waist of time! |
| |
Then I got an idea. I was
haunted with this for days and it worked around in my head so long that
I eventually even dreamed from it at night! When I had told Larry about the idea. he wanted to declair me as being crazy. |
But what is in my head one time, there is only one way for me - do it!
I gave myself
courage. If it fails, I have done no damage. |
I told myself therefore only
to use material that senselessly stood around for some time in Larry's workshop
(as I see it) and was waiting for the expiration date to come. That is why I could not do any major crop damage! Well lets getting started!!! |
Larry avoided neatly to help me, because he considered it as a total senseless endeavor. After day of
sanding, puttying and more sanding, it was finally ready. |
I was able to apply the wood base coat. After that came the ground color in green. After this was all try, I applied the Craze Medium.
Again waiting untill it is completly try. In the meantime, I had mixed up the color.
After this, began a real work
of patience.
I think it was worth it, and I can be real proud of my work! |
The Milk Chum
I do not know
how long this pitcher is already in my possession. Originally, it was
silver. It is an original
- but unfortunately without any cover! |
Some day Larry spray painted
it brown and was used as an umbrella stand. With every move, this milk jug has been pushed further into the background. |
And at last, even behind the front door!! No more! It is a very
very eye catching |

The BBQ Plates
These are normal cardboard plates. A challenge - right? |
Till . . . . . . . I was so amazed from the craze medium, that I had to tra it here also. Base paint is brown. |

A bit trimmed as "old"

Then I had to
try a different |
And then one more time with Litllefoot! The hardest part was here to shoot a picture from Littlefoot. She became a real little bitch and did not want to get her picture taking.

The Pipe Shelve (?) Sorry I did not take a picture from "before". It stood outside. And that it could not collapsed, Larry lashed it to a tree. |
Over the years there has been
only the garden hoses stored. When I asked him if I could have this thing for a test, he shook his head and looked at me somewhat incredulously. |
And indeed, the shelf has fallen apart and had to be re-screwed together. Never the less I think, the effort was worth it! |
The Stool
I dont think I need to say anything here - or? Originally it was white. |
When we then
bought us blue garden furniture, and later (as you can see) then used as a stand, abuse as a shelters, etc. |
No more!
now he can stand there proud!! |
The Refrigerator Door Larry did not not liked the door from our refrigerator on our terasse no more. That I did not to hear twice!!
TV-Cabinet
Door
another challenge!!! |
The Camping Table Had I known that I eventually show it all on my homepage, I would have taking pictures right from the start. |
The table was, like the stool on the beginning white, |
With the blue garden furniture, he got blue. |
With the brown garden furniture, the table got brown.
And - what should
I say. . . |
Even a rusty bowl was my "victim". |
Even the front door was not a stopper to me. here you find the Alliance Crest as described in the column Crest. |

I was so fastinated with this, that I could not even stop at my Office binders - ha
